Ecology and Manufacturing
Did you know that more than 2 billion cups of coffee are consumed every day worldwide? Despite being the 3rd most consumed beverage in the world, 98% of the coffee produced ends up in landfills after one cup of pleasure. Used coffee beans are carefully collected to prevent waste and are transformed into biomaterials and circular products.
Agave Straw products are manufactured with PolyAgave®, a line of composites (all of them biobased) made from cellulose-rich agave natural fibers.
The Rice Straw was born out of the need for an eco-friendly alternative to single-use plastic consumption while aiming to retain the functionality and durability of a plastic straw.
The plates, glasses and packages produced are composite products obtained from waste materials such as hazelnuts, almond shells, wood dust, tea dust, walnut shells, apricot kernels, corn cobs and olive pits, and can dissolve quickly in nature and turn into fertilizer.
